Glen, I'm far from West Virginia, but I'm surprised to hear you say your Coupe was very hard to land.  A properly rigged and balanced Coupe is extremely easy to land.  Maybe the previous owner didn't know what he was doing.  Yes, you need a check out from an experienced Couper.  I wish I was closer so I could be the one.

(my date was set wrong first time i sent this)Hello,I was wondering if anyone knew of anybody who is an instructor and could give me time in a theirs or my coupe in West Virginia or surrounding states.  I am getting mine ferried back here from Indiana - hopefully it will arrive this weekend.  It turned out to be much harder to land than I ever imagined!  It was such a workout when the former owner was flying it that I decided not to even try to land it myself, to prevent us getting into a heap of trouble.  I don't need a checkout for insurance, they didn't require one, but no way I can fly it as I am now (typical Cessna pilot!)  Also, I would be interested in hearing from any coupers from WV, especially the folks who wrote before whose address I lost! Thanks,Glen Ward
