Spike: About the only place I know of that would be nearly corrosion
proof,
is the Arizona desert. All other locations especially Fla. have
especially
high density at times, and corrosion is definitely a problem. Folks can
tell you anything about their engines, and the only way to check it out is
to take a jug off and look ! If you're going to spend 6-7,000.00 or so,
you're entitled!! If you're tempted to run it, make sure you change the
oil
first, even if it looks clean. Who knows for sure when it was changed
last,
and if there is any moisture present. Don't like buying even "0" time
engines if they've been sitting for over one year. After 6 years, the
seals and gaskets are most likely dried out, and even occasional starting
is
bad news. I'd say that unless I could "steal" it, I'd pass. This is of
course only my opinion. Good luck with your search.
