Did you think what a beautiful Coupe would be like if they produced it today? Well, here is my "fantasy Coupe."
Essentially, It would start with the A2-A with these mods. [1] The header tank is gone and the two 15-gal. tanks are installed. [2] The bucket seats would have adjuster rails. [3] The brake bar would be gone and toe brakes installed. [4] Choice of spring steel gear or Trailing link. The trailing link would now have a gass-filled shock absorber that required no maintenance. [5] The Continental 0-200, 100-hp engine would now have two mufflers to quiet the beast down a bit. [6] The ngine would be driven by electronics and there would be only one mag for a backup system. The electronics would fire all eight plugs at EXACTLY the proper time through the entire torque range. The exhaust gas temperature would automatically set the mixture. [7] The canopy would have better latches and seal a lot better. [8] The avionics would be installed to suit the customer in a center-stack. [9] Improved ventilation for summer operations. [10] Tachometer would be electronic, to be more accurate. [11] Single axis or 2-axis autopilot optional at extra cost. I am sure you guys could add to the "Fantasy Coupe", but I would be estatic with this!
