hello all,
I was visiting with a client of mine a couple of weeks ago when the topic
of
airplanes evolved. It turns out that he used to fly years ago in the New
York
area. OUT came the pictures and voila he flew a coupe in the 40's .He has
a
picture of a coupe that is brand new #99655. If this plane is still
around I'm
sure that I can get the picture of it for the newest owner.
Can someone look this one up I won't have achance for a while.
Another thing I've had happen that is interesting is my header tank gauge
( the
wire in the tube )stays loww even after I topp off.It turned out that my
front
fuel pump cap is seeping I didn't have my tools to tighten it. but this
happened
b4 and tightening it seemed to cure the low reading I have a new one and
it's
going on shortly my annual is due .the wire and the cork are only 2 yrs
old I
replaced them when I had my first annual done.Soo if your header reads
low even
after you fill up maybe the cap is leaking or loose check it Preflight
and
post flight

ps what is the torque on the pump cap ? thanx
