Hi all --

Wanted to say hello and introduce myself. I signed on to the list a few
weeks ago and have been lurking 'tiill now. What a great forum this is
for Coupe enthusiasts!

I'm a long-time Couper, having bought 3688H in 1973. My plane is a late
1946 415-C, with a 75hp Continental C7512-F. So far as I am aware, 88H
is one of the last 1946 C models produced. The plane is pretty much
unmodified, except for the addition of a transponder and belly strobe.
I base 88H at Chesapeake Ranch Airpark (MD50), a private strip in
southern Maryland, about 40 miles southeast of Washington, D.C. (An
interesting historical Coupe note: according to the FAA aircraft file,
88H was once owned by Lee Higdon, one of the founders of the Alon
company.)

Hope to see many of you at the EOC 2000 convention in College Park.
That convention will have special significance for me, beacause College
Park airport is where I received training for my private pilot license
(and it's also where I saw my first Ercoupe).
