Here in the LA basin we had a coupe trailing smoke on departure. Came down and Two died. The finial report was basically a poorly maintained and no 337 on a battery move to the engine side of the firewall. Cause wiring. But it became another Ercoupe/fire. Not all that one reads is a true fact just what the numbers say. Also, Who knows how many, if any were caused when the old fitting without support broke. Causing gas to flood the engine compartment. Hopefully no Ercoupe out there has not had the AD done. Yours, Warren H.
