What is the best way to get the most out of our hard earned dollars for aviation needs ?
This is not a plug , just my experience . My best results usually come from looking through Trade-A-Plane , finding vendors listing products at least similar to my needs , and then making usually numerous telephone calls to find what I want . Use 1-800 numbers if available . Always verify : 1. Specifications 2. Availability 3. Cost ( request best price ) 4. Delivery Charges 5. Promised delivery date to your door . The last item I bought that way was headset which I got at $40 off the lowest advertised price that I could find and they even included UPS Saturday delivery . It pays to shop around . I am not plugging TAP other than to relay my results. I figure that the subscription actually saves me some dough in the long run though . If you don't subscribe though , You can almost always find one while hangar flying up in the office at your field . There are no doubt other sources as good or better . Can anyone out there on the list offer suggestions along these lines ?
