Gene, I started to write this earlier but drop the idea as maybe to
pointed. But you ask it again so here goes.
Did you fly down to Nationals Again this year? If so did they (the
powers
that be) ask you to pay for each Alon or each pilot? Or even ask you to
pay?
I saw your Alons as I said earlier at 98s Nationals. And I know that both
of
you left not to long after. But then people come and go at all flyins and
airshows. I didn't think to much about it. Were you upset then? Did you
write
to EOC about it?
In ' 98 the Wife and I did the airline bit and flew into St. Louis and
rented a car. Talk about cost. We paid the price because we support our
Club.
And that money goes to pay so others can enjoy (so we can enjoy) the
FAMILY
of the Ercoupe.
The first National I went to, I drove to from Colo to OK. in ' 87 or '
88.
Did not have extra money. Didn't know anyone. But the love of the Family
was
ever where there. Know that I wanted to get to know this group of people.
And
I for one never looked back.
It is $25. I piss that away every week of the year and have nothing to
show or even remember for it.
