Jeff, what do you mean by Fabric Softener Sheets. Do you mean a sheet of
plastic with Fabric Softener poured on it or is this some form of local
product that is available?

We have problems with mice down this way too. A friend of mine with a
Vari-Eze found a mouse in his aircraft one day. They get in through the
elevator actuator opening on the canard. Very easy as the Eze is parked
with its nose on the ground. I suggested to him to take it out on the
tarmac and start then engine. The mouse should clear out pretty quickly.
We
did that and within 5 seconds of engine start the mouse flew out of the
opening at the canard and ran across the tarmac. He didn't make it. A
magpie swooped down and that was lunch. At least he wasn't wasted!
