Greg, the TCP is to soften lead in 100LL and help to alleviate plug fouling. Also, the exhaust valves for 100LL are changed to new 30 degree ex. valves & seats at time of overhaul (I don't know why, but they do it to convert the little Continentals ex. valves to better digest 100LL). I don't think you would use TCP with unleaded auto fuel or 80/87 as it isn't necessary to scavange excess lead.
My can of TCP has some real strong warnings about getting it on your skin. Says to wash it off thoroughly. Says it is a possible carcinigen. The government has cried wolf so many times, I wonder if it really is a danger, or if you have to have megadoses for years before it is dangerous. Leslie, if you are running 80/87 you need no additives. The little Continentals like it. It is just right.
