Dennis: Does your engine log tell you when the last time your plugs were replaced ? I've known some to run plugs to the 500 hour limit, but If your plugs have worn electrodes, nows the time. Wag Aero has a price of 16.50 Ea. right now. Personally, I've never run plugs past the 250 hour mark. Why ask for trouble? They should be cleaned and gapped every 100 hours Max, or at annual, which ever comes sooner. Our cherokee is new to us, and for the first twenty hours or so, it just seemed to not run smooth, even for a Lycoming. not knowing exactly when the plugs were changed last, I changed them and it really made a difference. The knowledge of new plugs up front not only gives you "peace of mind", it's cheap insurance. Doug
