My advice was based on the manufacturer's recomendation. To quote from LP Aero Plastics Inc, "Aircraft Windshield and Window Care and Maintenance"
"Concerning the polishing cloth, use the softest cotton cloth available... We at Aero Plastics have never found a paper product that did not scratch, even those advertised for cleaning plastics." If paper works for you that is good. After replacing all my glass I wanted to follow LP's suggestions since once scrathes are in there they are a pain to remove. Since it was so easy to get flannel at a fabric store I thought I would mention it to the list.
