Aircoupers -- I routinely fly with my canopy open. I realize that some folks don't agree, but the owner's manual sez I can, the prior owner did, and the bushings and rollers are in good shape. I generally only do it on very short hops anyway 'cuz you have to pay too much attention to the airspeed for my likes.
My question is this: I've been told it's not a good idea to open the canopy while in flight. I can see why if there's only one person in the plane, but how 'bout if a passenger did it?
