I think you will find that the Coupe was never certified on floats.. Lots of nice pictures, etc, and lots of exciting thoughts about a Coupe on Floats,
but the facts are the FAA (CAA) requirements for spin testing ( due to the fact the Coupe had to be modified as to control travel, etc., ) resulted in an un-recoverable spin. The CAA test pilot bailed out,and was unhurt. The only Ercoupe on Floats, was destroyed. Now, that is not to say someone may be able to obtain a Field approval for experimental catagory, or even obtain an STC for floats......
