Nose gear cable. Double fork nose gear extends down pretty far. The addition of the snubber cable helps pilots touch the mains first when landing, the original fully extended nosewheel without the snubber cable could touch first in a landing when you "drive your Ercoupe on when landing with little or no flair."
Gas cans. I used two round metal 5 gallon cans from KMart. Transported both in my car from the filling station, held one under my arm and tilted it to get the spout in the wing tank filler neck. Don't know if the round metal cans are still sold. Battery caps. I was reminded in an e-mail, thanks Bob, that aviaton style screw in battery caps are spill and boil-out proof. These type caps are not found on automobile, garden tractor, or marine batteries. This prevents the acid from being able to come out for any reason. It can cause some pretty serious corrosion. G.
