In addition to what David wrote, you can make your own plastic panels out
of
KYDEX 100 thermoplastic. We made side panels and trim pieces to cover the

interior of our 415-D from Frame D forward up to and including the lower
firewall. We used up about 3/4th of a 4' X 8' sheet of gray .060 " KYDEX
which cost me less than $60. The side trim panel doesn't show up very
well
in the picture Tom put on the web site (Very Clean Coupe's Bucket {really
Cessna} Seats) of the convention, but you can get the general idea. The
entire side from frame D to frame B is covered with one piece of KYDEX.
KYDEX 100 is manufactured by the Kleerdex Company of Aiken, SC (800 325
3133)
and is sold by most commercial plastic companies. It is available in
several
colors and thickness. The beauty of the stuff is that it can be cold
formed,
like aluminum sheet, for straight bends. If you want compound curves,
make a
mold and hot form it in your oven at temperatures from 330 to 400 degrees.

The material has already been tested for flammability and passes the FAR
25.853a test. I know it is used in commercial jet aircraft interiors.
I had no problem getting my 337 signed by the FAA inspector after he saw
that
is had passed the FAR 25.853a tests. You can get a certification from
Kleerdex on a specific sheet if you provide them with the information as
to
where it came from.
I know that making the necessary molds my be a little time consuming, but
if
you can do the repairs/upholstery that David talked about, I'll bet you
can
make molds to.

Good Luck!!
