I have been "lurking" on this list serve for a couple of weeks, trying to learn about Ercoupes and gather some resources to help myself and a pilot friend decide whether to purchase an Ercoupe. (I have a "hereditary" interest as my Father flew one for a few years in the mid Fourties and his plane is still flying in Denton Tx. ). My friend, ( a fellow Prof. at RIT) and I would like to locate a Ercoupe for sale in the upstate NY area.
Or, if there are no Ercoupes for sale in this area, is it possible to get a ride in one in order to see if the interest in Ercoupes is valid for us. We are both student pilots (Bill has soloed and I am close to doing so). P.S. I have made contact with Geroge Tucker at The Fort Hill airport, East Bloomfield, NY (near Rochester) but both Ercoupes there are not flying at this time. Any help would be appreciated greatly.
