Ken,
The C-85 in my 'coupe did exactly the same thing last October. It
was time for the annual so I went ahead and started that. A friend with
a lot of experience with the small Continental engines told me he had
the same problem and it was due to an vacuum leak in the intake
connector hoses on the intake pipes running to each cylinder. I bought
a new set of hoses from El Reno and installed them during the annual.
The first time I cranked the engine afterwards it idled fine and has
ever since. I can't say for sure that was the problem but I know of
nothing else I did which could have affected it.Jim Austin - N93543 > Ken Carnahan wrote: > > Hi list 39 H will not run under 1000- r.p.m.but runs real good top > side.has stomberg- help help Regards-Ken Carnahan -Doniphan, Mo.
