Sorry you couldn't make it Jerry, It was just a lunch, not a party, it's just nice to go somewhere, and thats a nice place, with a well maintained strip. It's right at Exit 3 on the Ohio Tpk. The Detroit sectional shows it as "exit 3 private". Wauseon Ohio is the town just to the south. You don't need permission to land, and there's plenty of parking for the coupes if you want to make it a fly-in. They've got about 4500' by about 100' Approaches are good, but watch the "sign" on the east end of 27, and coned wires on 9. But with 4500' who cares. Smiths restaurant is adjacent to the strip, but the Truck stop (for MOgas) is expanding right now and is closed, should be open Labor day. Normally you can taxi right to the pumps ( just watch the trucks) The number for Smiths is: 419-335-4896, if you want to make reservations for a group. When you fly in, the strip is identified just south and a little west of Fulton Co. Airport, and right beside the Turnpike on the south side. Theres no Wind indicator (sock) so watch the smoke or call Fulton Co. for advisory. Also watch Toledo's airspace, you're real close. Fly happy, Doug
