Regarding Gummi's question about paint for an Ercoupe that would protect
it and have a good long shine; I just saw a Cessna 150 that was recently
painted with Alumigrip. I had forgotten about Alumigrip paint since
nowadays there are so many choices, including Imron, which many people
like. This Cessna 150 painted with Alumigrip aircraft paint "REALLY"
looks good ! A professional car painter sprayed the disassembled
Cessna and Speedmaster Signs of Columbus, GA made and applied vinyl
numbers and trim design. Twenty years ago, I saw a houseboat painted
with Alumigrip and it looked good for years afterward. Even though I
haven't used Alumigrip on my Ercoupe I believe it will be my first
choice.
