Yeah, Ron. The Florida tax athorities are almost as bloodthirsty as their mosquitos. I had a friend who moved there. To avoid the "use tax" on imported cars, he took off the front plate, then parked with the back over a ditch - that had aligators in it! The FAA bill of sale only reflects ownership, not the amount paid. That is why I do not like sales taxes - a typical Oregonian response, I might add. But Florida does not tax the income off ones earnings. The State will get its "pound of flesh" any way it can. Percy
