My carrier doesn't break out cost of liability and hull separately, but $950 - $1,050 for $1M plus $22K hull is what I've been paying. 1400 hours plus instrument rating. Over the 21 years I've been insured, the rates have gone up and down with no good reason other than insurers have gotten in and out of the market.
My long-time agent told me:
++ Longevity with a company doesn't count in aviation
insurance as it does with auto and home. You can switch with
no penalty.
++ Because aviation is a relatively small market, insurers
move aviation prices around because of their other
businesses.
++ Some/most insurers are no longer selling per-seat
coverage which is cheaper than per-incident.
I also seem to recall that 250 hours represents a breakpoint
in flying experience.
