Thanks for the responses on the carb heat drops. It looks like the drops with the Stromberg carbs are usually 50-75, and the drops with the Marvel carbs is about 150-200 judging by most responses. So I guess my Marvel carb drop is about like most of them.
It probably has something to do with the way the heated air is ducted into the carb in this model. The intake isn't in the slipstream, right behind the prop, but is instead behind two cylinders. So, it's ram pressure is low and it's already pretty warm even before it goes through the exhaust shroud.
