In thinking about a 'coupe for a project I am wondering how one goes
about checking for what seems to be the dreaded wing spar corrosion in
an coupe that doesn't have any of the wing AD's complied with. Say one
that has been just sitting since 1955? What do you have to do to see
this corrosion? Or even one that has had the AD's? Can you just look
through the inspection holes and under the floorboards and be assured
that the particular aircraft is OK? I would appreciate any advise on
this. To tell the truth, I am about to get scared off this project by
the thoughts of wing spars turning to powder with no way to tell it.
