Wayne,
Yoiu can remove the pipe fairly easy and check for obstruction.....

Also with the engine off, the line is normally empty, as excess fuel has
flowed down to the wing tank . So it is easy to blow into the header tank
-
don't use pressurized air - just wrap those lips around the opening and
blow..
A helper - perhaps in a quiet environment , even you , will hear the air
blowing into the wing tank. Very little restriciton to your air flow....

If the tank is not overflowing, then the line is clear....or almost so,
anyway...

On my coupe, the return line is on the rearwall of the header tank. I
removed
the line and found the "L" fitting almost stopped up. (The tank was was
overflowing). I think the residue is shellac from the fuel evaporating, if
the
A/C is not used over time...

Don't breath in the gasoline fumes ---- use a clean rag over the tank
opening....Be careful.
