Ask for the records on the plane. Include the N number and the serial
number, and a check made out to the FAA for $7.00. They send the
information on microfiche, and charge (I think) 50 cents per fiche. Most
planes have enough information to cover about 8 fiches. They will refund
the unused part of your check.
