Grover, Keith, and the Group,

I am one of those bringing up the issue of a weight in the tail, with
metal
prop. I have mis-led some of you . the weight in my coupe is 3.5
pounds......bolted to the rear former, (station 189) under the tail cone
attachment. Installed to correct the CG, back in 1970...

I just called Univair, and they tell me there is no such item for the
coupe...

However there is a weight for Swift, when using a larger engine....

Now, I wll take off the tail cone in a day or so, and check for part
numbers,
etc. As I remember, there was a 415 - part number on the weight......
course
my memory dreams up all sorts of fanticies....So...

My coupe had full instrumentation and lots of old heavy radios, and a
metal
prop, that was the cause of the need for the weight......to correct for CG
limits.

I will get back to all you folks who have been interested and maybe even
alarmed about the use of a weight ot compensate for the add'l forces added
by
a Metal prop....

Fly Safe - Have Fun

Harry
