I'd like to throw this one out to the group... The tach reads 2150 rpm
at
full throttle
just before take off. As I start to roll down the runway the rpm"s
DECREASE
to about 2000. and stay right there . The tach should read around 2300 on
the
climb out, and at one time it did. However, it stays at 2000 until I reach
cruise
altitude, around 2300 ft. After leveling off and building rpm and normal
cruise of
2450 rpm, I can get 2650 at full power. Now when I want to climb higher, I
can
get 2300 rpm in the climb.
I have called Continental, most everyone I know who own coupes and have
tried all of the fixes that were offered. Checking the carb heat box,
calibrating
the tach, and checking mags and plugs.
I have almost 1000 hours in my coupe and I thought I could troubleshoot
about
anything but this has me stumped.....The prop is a 7148 climb prop, and as
far
as I
know I haven;t made any changes to cause this...
Any suggestions?????????
