Some time back a lot of folks gave me a lot of advice on how to correct the problem of a sluggish starter. I really appreciated the power of this group and the extensive collective knowledge. I took most of the advice - checked the wiring, had the started rebuilt, etc. But the problem was only solved by a new battery. When I told my A&P that my hydrometer (purchased from Al's Auto for $5) registered only fair, he said that means your battery is a piece of junk. I don't remember the numbers he told me, but he said the specific gravity for an airplane battery is higher than your car's battery. And "fair" on my hydrometer is lousy. Boy, does that engine crank now! Thanks again for the help. Wayne N3544H
