I'll put my efforts to avoid it ^^
First of all, yes, Im new here but I need this solution and the person
that would help me just left the project.
Let me explain a bit more to be sure.
Usually the 10kb message would be delivered in each account, so, 10kb *
10,000 = 100MB.
Making a shared folder will allow to keep just this one 10kb message,
but each user will still see it as UNREAD dispite of the fact of other
users had readed it? What about deleting?
See maildir/README.sharedfolders.html for answers to your questions.
There's no need to repeat what's already explained in this document.
Hello Sam.
Sorry for taking your time, but, I just wanted a yes/no my question.
I don't want start a flame war, but, you could reply me like
"(yes/no), you can read more about this at..."... you understand what
I mean?
There are two different shared folder mechanisms available in Courier.
One is based on filesystem permissions, and is used with mail servers
that use system accounts. The second shared folder implementation is
used when the mail server is configured to use virtual mail accounts
owned by the same system uid/gid, and is based on IMAP ACLs.
With filesystem permissions-based shared folders, each each account
maintains its own set of status flags on each message. There are also
some other limitations as well.
IMAP ACL-based shared folders are more powerful, but they only work with
virtual accounts only. Furthermore there's one set of status flags for
each message, for everyone.
Im really gratefull for your reply.
Indeed Courier is the server that I was looking for (as an IRC guy told
me).
I just have a final question:
Does Courier Staff, or any community member, offers support (no problem
being paid [except if it's too much :p]) on setting the server up?
