We used snapshot for protection against sysadmin finger problems, but didn't
make it available to customers. I'm not sure exactly how you'd do that -
perhaps have a POP3/IMAP server running on a different port or IP address.
But you'd have to beware that the snapshot is read-only, so courier wouldn't
be able to update any metadata. That might require some code patching.
