Hello!

I'm interested about the exit codes (and their meaning) of the imapd (usually
/usr/bin/imapd) binary.

Courier-IMAP is not usually installed as /usr/bin/imapd.

I'm using script that replaces the binary and executes it only if there is only <= n imapdbinary processes opened for the passed maildir, otherwise it exists - now with exit 1, and that results as "imapd: TIMEOUT" in the mail logs.

There is no such message in Courier-IMAP.

I have'nt found any info about the possible exit codes of this binary.

Then ask wherever you got your /usr/bin/imapd binary from. This has nothing to do with Courier.
