It looks like qmail and courier aren't agreeing on the purpose of the LDAP attribute. qmail thinks it's the homedir (and appends /Maildir/), but courier thinks it's the maildir. > /etc/courier/authldaprc: > > LDAP_HOMEDIR mailMessageStore > LDAP_MAILDIR mailMessageStore So if mailMessageStore contains /home/foo/, you've told courier that the homedir is /home/foo/ and the maildir is /home/foo/ It's a while since I've done this, but I think you may be able to omit LDAP_MAILDIR, in which case courier will chdir to the homedir and then chdir to ./Maildir for the maildir Otherwise, you need two attributes in LDAP: homeDir /home/foo/ mailMessageStore /home/foo/Maildir/ and you can point qmail at the homeDir attribute, if qmail insists on appending /Maildir/ itself. > /etc/imapd.config: > MAILDIRPATH=Maildir That's what you want it to do if LDAP_MAILDIR is missing; I can't remember for sure whether authldap can work that way though (other auth modules can). Personally I use exim for mail delivery, which is much more flexible to configure, and a single attribute for /home/foo/Maildir/ Also I don't use LDAP_MAILROOT, but put the full absolute path in LDAP.
