I'd say it's safest to do it as Sam advises: i.e. * create folders from IMAP client * mv ~/mail/blah/cur/* ~/Maildir/.blah/cur/ If you wanted to move the whole folder in one go, you'd need to beware of the rules for Maildir++ with folders inside Maildirs (in particular the presence of the 'maildirfolder' file).
