I was looking for some sort of IMAP server stress testing tool, and
that's unfortunately the only one I found. It seems to haven been
created by some of the dovecot authors, so of course dovecot will pass
with flying colors ;)

You wouldn't happen to know of alternative IMAP stress/compliance
testing tools, would you?

Nope. As a stress-testing tool, it's fine I suppose, although what you're really stress-testing here, really, is your disk bandwidth. Courier-IMAP is practically just a translator between IMAP and filesystem calls, with little overhead.

With the latest version, you're probably also going to measure the performance of your system iconv library when you're searching or sorting mail and it's transcoding message content to the search character set.
