According to that bug, it seems they think they fixed it. One way you can verify that is to modify the build so that it uses fam instead of gamin and see if the error still appears. If you no longer see the error, then it is fam related. If you do still see the error, then time to start looking elsewhere (high load, slow I/O, max files open, etc). Chasing the error directly has proven to be unfruitful so that is probably the quickest way to get a more authoritative answer.
