Qmail without patches is of no use in real world. Still there no easy way(or patch patch) to check of non existant users at SMTP session, not after that - bouncing messages to postmaster, because sender or sender's domain does not exist. So we have another problem - qmail does not check the validity of sender's domain. And so on. There is no release of 1.04 which would integrate the large amount of usefull patches into one place. And it appears that will never happen.
