I'm open for correction, but doesn't "maildirmake -f user /var/spool/mail/domain" make a *folder* in the "/var/spool/mail/domain" directory, and not a maildir? From the maildirmake man page: -f folder do not create a maildir, but create a folder in an existing maildir. When I make maildirs, I use "maildirmake /some/directory/username" for a new user. I'm using a single "vmail" UNIX user with virtual users in the /home/vmail/domains directory & userdb. HTH.
