Courier is also my POP3. I am not aware of another pop3 daemon which
supports Maildir-style direcotories which is why I am using Courier-Imap
(and its included pop3 daemon).

In both my ./etc/pop3d and ./etc/imapd I have the following ling:

TCPDOPTS="-nodnslookup -noidentlookup"

That should do it right?

When I look at /var/log/maillog I only see IPs. A bit of clarification
though:

The client can connect, but it takes an inordinate amount of time to
transfer the data, but it is transfering data. For example when the imap
client is connected to the server and I select a message to view the
transfer begins immediately, the progress bar moves, it just takes forever.

Sincerely,

Aaron D. Kulick
