Subject: [courier-users] Question about rewriting rules or Feature Request
Date: Mon, 9 Sep 2002 21:36:35 +0200

Hi,

i have the 'catch all' concept described in

http://www.courier-mta.org/FAQ.html#vdomains => Q: Using virtual domains

I would now know which module from Courier rewrite the Address:

[EMAIL PROTECTED] => local-user

My main problem ist that i must add for each user in this domain a
.courier-$USER which is not very nice :-/

Feature Request:

Is it possible that this module check the '$USERDB|$OTHER_AUTHMODULE'
for the e-mail-address and if isn't there then follow the catch all
rule.

For example:

if [EMAIL PROTECTED] in '$USERDB|$OTHER_AUTHMODULE' then
  deliver to '$HOME|$MAIL|...'
else if an 'catch all rule' then
  rewrite it and deliver to '.courier...'
else
  '$USER|$DOMAIN' unknown

Can this be an option to add it into the courier-mta package?

I hope you know what i mean ;-)

al ;-)
