Try deleting the "maildirsize" file in the maildir, then delivering a new
message.

If you look in it, you'll find the first line is the quota for the mailbox.
I believe this value is used if it exists, in preference to any value in
LDAP.

Only if the maildir is apparently over-quota. Otherwise it recalculates the
quota every ~640 changes, where each change is represented by a line in the
maildirsize file.

I didn't think qmail supported Maildir++ and quotas? Are you using a
different local delivery agent? (e.g. courier's deliverquota or maildrop)

In other words, maybe qmail is just delivering messages without reference to
quota at all.
