Hello all,

I just got the full Courier 0.39.3 distribution up and running on my
OpenBSD 3.1 system. I must send out a big "thanks" to Sam and everyone
for such a complete and powerful mail system.

Since I try to keep good notes on the installation process, I've got a
couple suggestions for some changes to the documentation.

1) On OpenBSD (and maybe others) the default per-process limits for the
number of processes and file descriptors seems rather low compared to
other systems. In particular, this causes 'testwait' to fall off the
rails during a 'make check'.

Since I was using bash, it was simple enough to use the 'ulimit' command
to increase the limits, but I don't know what would be appropriate for
the other shells.

2) After reading the sections 'Define local domains' and 'Create a
list of domains to accept mail for' in the install doc, I was under
the impression that all I needed to create was a
/usr/lib/courier/etc/locals file, and list my domain name in there.

However, I was getting error messages saying 'relaying denied', so I
had to create a /usr/lib/courier/etc/esmtpacceptmailfor file as well,
and list my domain name there.

It seems to me (and please correct me if I'm wrong) that most people
will need to create a esmtpacceptmailfor file, for a typical mail
server configuration. If this is correct, then perhaps the wording in
the section on esmtpacceptmailfor should be changed to reflect this.

Thanks again everyone!
