The docs for courier IMAP 1.5.3 say "If OpenSSL is available during
configuration, the couriertls helper gets compiled".

However, this is not the case on my system. Even though the OpenSSL libraries
and headers are available and the SSL versions of both IMAP and POP are bing
compiled, courierlts is not.

I have compiled and installed OpenSSL from source which lands ssl in
/usr/local/ssl. My only suspicion at this time is that perhaps courier can't
find the header files it needs such as ssl.h but as far as I can see there
are no configure options to tell courier where to locate OpenSSL.

I even tried "SSL_BASE=/usr/local/ssl ./configure" (like for mod_ssl) but that
had no affect.

Can anyone help me out here? I'm desperate to get SSL POP and IMAP support
working so we can upgrade our mail server.

Thanks,

John
