Roman, I am having a similar problem. I'm also using postfix 1.1.11... instead of userdb I'm using postgres. But I'm having trouble debugging because I only get a LOGIN FAILED message in maillog.

To all, is there a way to get more verbose login failed messages? Can it not connect to the userdb/postgres? Is it sending the wrong info? There are a lot of gaps here.

Thanks!
Mike

The Postfix side works:

root@ishtar /usr/local/etc 1016:0 # sed -n l userdb
[EMAIL PROTECTED]\thome=/var/db/courier/xfubar.cz/neuhauser|uid=61|imappw=foo$

root@ishtar /usr/local/etc 1017:0 # ls -l userdb*
-rw------- 1 root wheel 79 Nov 21 15:53 userdb
-rw-r--r-- 1 root wheel 65536 Nov 21 17:01 userdb.dat
-rw-r--r-- 1 root wheel 0 Nov 21 17:01 userdb.lock
-rw------- 1 root wheel 65536 Nov 21 17:01 userdbshadow.dat

All I get in /var/log/maillog is this:

Nov 21 17:02:09 ishtar imapd: Connection, ip=[::ffff:10.0.0.25]
Nov 21 17:02:22 ishtar imapd: LOGIN FAILED, ip=[::ffff:10.0.0.25]
Nov 21 17:02:29 ishtar imapd: LOGOUT, ip=[::ffff:10.0.0.25]

My qustions: 1. How do I get courier to log more?
2. What error have I done that prevents me from logging in?
