Hello, Group

I've setup Postfix to deliver mail as user:group postfix:postfix with directory
permissions 0600. When I test using ' telnet localhost 110 ', I'm disconnected by Courier-IMAP and it returns a 'chdir' error in /var/log/messages. In order
to get Courier to work, I have to set Courier to be u:g postfix:postfix, with
the binaries SetUID/SetGID permissions 6755. Furthermore, the maildirs need to
be set to 0777, even though Courier runs as postfix.

This seems like alot of messing around. Is there some setting that I'm
forgeting, or is this the correct way to run Postfix/Courier?
No, it's not.

The correct way to install Courier is to follow INSTALL, without screwing around with file permissions, manually. 'make install' copies everything correctly, with the right permissions.
