James, try this: [...snip...] http://maxo.captainnet.net/installs/courier-install.html

I tried it (and then several modifications on the theme), but I'm afraid it hasn't helped at all. The instructions from that page are limited to compiling just the courier-imap distribution. And I'm trying to compile the entire courier distribution instead.

Anyone else have any ideas? I've been going crazy from the lack of courier+OS X info on my web searches! I'd be most appreciative. TIA.

P.S. Once again, the immediate problem I'm having (there are others, but we can save them for later) is when running "make" on OS X (10.2.4) the bdbobj module/directory/whatever fails with this error message:

Compiling bdbobj.c
bdbobj.c: In function `bdbobj_open':
bdbobj.c:117: warning: passing arg 2 of pointer to function from incompatible pointer type
bdbobj.c:117: incompatible type for argument 4 of indirect function call
bdbobj.c:117: too few arguments to function
make[2]: *** [bdbobj.o] Error 1
make[1]: *** [all] Error 2
make: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
