I've set up some users to run maildrop for SpamAssasin - the trouble is, my
formerly shell-crippled accounts have to be switched to use /bin/sh or
/bin/bash - otherwise the maildrop filtering process seems to buther the
messages.

My normal shell for these users (noshell) is a simple shell program which
prints a message, logs the shell access attempt, and logs off - the fact
that this is being invoked during maildrop processing indicates to me that
maildrop is effectively "logging in" as a user in order to run the user's
maildrop - is there a way to change this to simply switch EUID or something?

I have daemons that run fine with this configuration on their user
accounts - can someone educate me?

Thanks.
