SMAP, in the default configuration, is compiled in, but disabled, and needs an explicit configuration file change to be enabled.


--without-smap is not officially documented, but it will remove all SMAP code from the IMAP server. The C source is still compiled, but it will not be linked in; therefore the option cannot be used to avoid a syntax error in smap.c
