Following up on my own post with some additional data... When I sent my first post, I'd only tested from 128.135.0.0/24 (which is the subnet my mail server lives on, and worked fine) and 128.135.12.0/24 (which is the subnet where our central mail cluster lives, and elicits deferrals). Since then, I've also tried from 128.135.11.0/24, and found that it has the same trouble as 128.135.12.0/24.
I had also only tried to initiate SMTP sessions using the "ehlo <hostname>" command. Just for giggles, I tried again using "helo <hostname>". It worked fine. Is there some reason why Courier would suddenly decide that it doesn't like the "ehlo" command but does honor "helo"? ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: VM Ware With VMware you can run multiple operating systems on a single machine.
