Oops,

I did run "makealiases". My previous e-mail had a typo.

I do see a file called "/usr/lib/courier/etc/aliases.dat". It currently belongs to root. could that be the problem?

Hi,

I've managed to install the complete courier package (courierd, esmtp, imap, authd, etc...) Everything starts up and works fine. I'm using Maildrop with userdb for some virtual users. All the users can receive their mail just fine.

My problem is with aliases. I created a file in /usr/lib/courier/etc/aliases. I then ran makealiasdb
A sample listing is foo: noah.
From my understanding, e-mail sent to foo should now go to noah (me.).

Perhaps you should have run "makealiases"?
